About me

Carina Chela, born in London and raised in Venezuela, lives and works as a visual artist in Helsinki. Years of sustained study and deepening immersion in painting have molded her practice,
allowing her to give form to emotion through a blend of
abstraction and figuration. Her work unites bold graphic forms, minimalist composition, and a vivid, warmth-saturated palette.
She balances Nordic restraint with tropical colours, using texture, contrast, and movement to drive each piece.Carina paints in acrylic, with works held in private collections
across Europe and the Americas. She is affiliated with the
Helsinki Art Society and the UK Visual Artists Association.She has published poetry collections in Venezuela and Spain,
a thread that stills runs quietly through her work.
